Yesterday the school netball team went to St Joseph’s to play netball.

When we got to St Joes Ms Holdsworth put us all in our positions so we were ready to play our first game. I was in goal shooter and my best friend Hayley was in goal defence.

Our first game was against Our Lady’s in the hall and it was a really good first game. We played really well in the first half and scored four goals. In the second half we also played really well and we got five goals. In the end we lost but it didn’t matter because we all had fun.

The next game we played was an outside game. We played St Pius and they were a really good team. Two of the girls from my netball team outside of school Ruby and Rach were playing. For this game I was in goal keeper for both halves. Their goal shooter shooter was really tall and she was hard to defend. I managed to intercept some of the passes to her but she was really good. We also lost this game.

After playing St Pius we had a snack break. During the snack break we took some group photos and practised shooting. Ms Holdsworth told us that we were going really well and to keep it up.

Our next game we played was back inside and it was against Jamo. I was in goal shooter both halves and I shot 4 goals. We played really well and we won by two goals. Everyone was really excited because it was our first win.

Next we played St Joe’s team A. It was also an inside game. They were really tough to play against because they had a lot of really tall players. We lost 3-14 but we tried our very best.

Our last game was against St Joe’s team B. They were about as good as us. It was a really close game but we lost by 2.

After our last game all the teams sat down in the middle of the hall for the presentations. St Joseph’s team A came first then St Pius, Our Lady’s, Jamo, St Joseph’s team B then lucky last East. Even though we came last we didn’t care because we had so much fun and we knew that we tried our very best and played well.
