Asian Food Festival
Asian Food Festival
On Wednesday 12th of February all of the 5/6 classes made a different type of Asian food. Our class made Pad Thai.
First Ms Colee wrote up the steps on the board then she gave us jobs to do. The jobs were cutting and peeling carrot, Cutting spring onion, cutting the chicken, scramble the eggs, frying the chicken , adding the noodles, putting in the sauce and making posters.
My job was to make posters. The other people that I made posters with were Hayley, Starsha, Melissa, Alana and Jasmine. The types of posters we made were two Thailand flags and three posters with Pad Thai written on them. It took a while to do the Thailand flags because we had to do lots of colouring. By the time we finished making our posters we were pretty sick of the colours blue and red.
Once we finished cooking we took the food and posters outside to the shelter shed where all of the tables were set up. There were already some classes out there but not all of them. The foods that the other classes made were San choy bow (5/6D), Vietnamese salad (5/6D), Klepon balls (5/6H), Okonomyaki pancakes 5/6G and Fried rice (5/6C).
When all the classes finally arrived we were allowed to start eating. I liked most of the foods but the San choy bow was my favourite. It was really cool because all the food that we ate was not what we would usually eat at home.
After we finished eating we played a game of octopus and Cyprus tripped me over and I went flying through the air and landed face first. I had a grass stain on my shoulder and it was very funny.
